Jaymee Boughton, CPM, LM
I’ve been married 13 years, been blessed with 4 daughters, 1 son and midwifery has been a large part of my life for over 7 years. With each child of mine, I experienced very different pregnancies and births.
My personal deliveries include both hospital and out-of-hospital birth, an epidural and unmedicated births, water birth and cesarean section. Shortly after I delivered my 3rd child, I pursued my midwifery training through the Association of Texas Midwives’ Midwifery Program. I proceeded to pass the NARM and worked as a staff midwife at a local Houston area birth center until last year.
I have always held a strong belief that pregnancy and birth are normal life events. Working with women and their families from early pregnancy until 6 weeks postpartum has confirmed for me that the childbearing journey is a spiritual, physical and emotional experience. When women feel informed, respected, supported and safe, they are capable of creating for themselves the experiences and outcomes they had only previously hoped for.
